Overlander Motel

Been here for a week. Nicky (hope this is the right spelling) the mananger is friendly & helpful. Rooms are clean, Nicky & her team take very good care of your room & stay. It's pretty quiet considering rail tracks are across the a busy road. Haven't had any issues with noise even though the motel seems to be busy. There's a nice gazebo under huge Weeping Willow trees to sit for a drink/smoke (no smoking in rooms) what have you. As well as a couple other areas just to sit outside & enjoy the fresh air. All in all I give Overlander Motel a gold star for a comfortable cleanroom, reasonably priced & walking distance (10mins flat surface walk) to shopping & some great food places.

Had a great experience at this lil motel. The staff were so sweet. After a very long trek, several detours and construction hold-ups I had been awake for an insane amount of hours. I arrived very late to check in but they were waiting for me. I completely passed out cold once in my room and slept through check out time. They were so sweet about it politely knocking to remind me it was past time. The room was small and a bit outdated but has everything you need and was very clean, quiet and comfortable. I travel from Calgary to Williams Lake to visit family once in a while and I will definitely stay here again!

Niki was very welcoming and accommodating to us with no advance notice of our arrival late in the evening. She was helpful and kind in getting us settled for the night. The room was clean and quiet. My only complaint was the bed which was uncomfortable and noisy. Otherwise, the stay was a very nice experience. We would stay here again. Thanks, Niki!

Just returned from a 3-night stay and everything was perfect. The rooms were spacious, modern, and absolutely spotless, with incredibly comfortable beds. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city but very quiet at night. I booked this motel room for an anniversary in town. The woman at the desk was very kind and accommodating to our changing plans. The true beauty of these independent hotels is their ability to provide changes in check in times that big corporate owned hotels won't entertain. Thank you for your kindness.

Rooms are very clean, very kind people on front desk. We booked a room for 3 nights but unfortunately that day we got an alert for evacuation and for our safety we decided to go home back. We have already paid for 3 nights but we got refund for 2 nights back which is fair enough as we spent 2 hours there and use some facilities. Everyone got their refund back because of wildfire situation. The manger was handling situation calmly. We really appreciate their hospitality. We definitely stay again for sure. Highly recommended.

Called the night before to get a room while passing through on our way back to Calgary. They were quick to book us in. They were accommodating to later check in times. Room was clean, bathroom is updated. No complaints at all! Very friendly staff!
